Children and young people partout ticket Masks in Marsken 2026

Free Kid/Young Ticket to Masks in the Marsh Children under the age of 18 (under 12 years accompanied by an adult) and adolescents under 25 years of age with a valid student card are admitted free of charge to Masks i Marsken. You pick up a free ticket via the link below and bring the ticket on your phone when you arrive at Masks i Marsken. Contact the volunteer helpers in one of the ticket tents in Højer. Here you need to present your ticket AND valid ID. Then you will be handed a partout bracelet and ready to explore Masks in the Marshes. Great pleasure — we look forward to seeing you.

Bye Bye Brenda in Løgumkloster Church

On January 10, 2025, Bye Bye Brenda's debut album Landmarks was released. A result of the collaboration between Stine Bramsen and Kajsa Vala, which GAFFA has previously called “a perfect match” and Politiken “a new power duo in Danish music”. Bye Bye Brenda writes songs, with an intimate vibe, which goes deep and hits wide. Inspired by names like Kacey Musgraves, Bon Iver and Phoebe Bridgers. The duo has played numerous concerts in 2025 and has several scheduled for spring 2026. Now we are really happy to have them on the poster for Masks in the Marsh 2026. It has gradually become a tradition that Saturday night at Masker i Marsken equals beautiful concert experiences with some of Denmark's great voices and this year is certainly no exception. We are very excited to welcome Stine Bramsen and Kajsa Vala to Løgumkloster Church.

Partout Ticket Masks in the Marsh 2026

*Buy a partout ticket to Denmark's bravest knitting festival Masker i Marsken, which runs again in 2026! * *Are you under the age of 18 or a student under the age of 25? So remember that you can pick up a free partout ticket on our website. *\ \ The focal points of the festival are Masks, Marshes and Mindfulness. \ \ In 2026, the festival takes place on the last weekend of October, namely 23 - 25 October. The festival will take place in various locations in Tønder municipality. The festival caters to all knitters regardless of ability and ambition. The focus is on the craft and knitting, but we also want to show off the beautiful area and the Wadden Sea National Park, as well as to focus on the immersion and tranquility you achieve when knitting. If you wish to purchase a ticket to one or more of the festival's workshops, you will need either a partout or a day ticket. A programme of workshops, lectures and pop-up events will take place in the spring of 2026. Ticket price: DKK 325, - + DKK 15, - in fee. Day tickets go on sale in August 2026

Knit and gin at Ved den Rød plass

Masks in the Marsken invites you to a cozy evening at Ved den rød plass, located in Tønder. We will taste different local gins, hear about the new international textile center in Højer from Hanne B. Sønnichsen and Helle from Yarn Every Wear will come and talk about the new trends in spring and summer knitwear. Come and join us for an evening where we will enjoy local drinks together and talk about our passion for yarn and knitwear. We start the evening with sandwiches so that we do not have to drink on an empty stomach 🍸 The event starts at 18:00 and during the evening there will also be plenty of time for knitting and socializing with the other participants. *The ticket price is incl. Knitting for beginners

*Now we are launching a workshop course in beginner knitwear 😎 * We have been asked several times about where to go if you are an adult and would like to learn how to knit and do not know anyone who can help. Often we have not known what to answer, but now we have found a solution — we simply launch our own course. Together with several of our skilled craftsmen — and based on our knowledge from teaching young people to knit at high school — we have put together a program that is both educational and fun. The course spans three evenings in April/May and in addition to learning how to knit, we will also make you smarter about the materials you can work with. What sticks work best for you, what types of yarn are good for scarves, what should I choose if I think everything is scratching, etc. All of these things we will help you become smarter about. Bring Masks in the Marsken to visit Marianne Østergaard in Øster Lindet. Marianne talks about her long knitting life filled with fascinating designs and exciting activities. From Masks i Marsken we come and tell you about this year's program, which will be launched the week before the event. What thoughts are behind the composition of the programme? Who will come and teach this year and which workshops are approaching are already sold out. Marianne opens the store for us and has promised to have some great offers 🤩 During the evening, coffee and cake are served. The event starts at 7pm and lasts a few hours, so there is plenty of time for both knitting and shopping in the store. *Ticket price incl. DKK 15, - fee. *

About Masker i Marsken

Masks, Marsh & Mindfulness

Knitting brings people together across the board in both physical and virtual communities, and this is exactly the community we want to create with Masks i Marsken. Masks in the Marsh is an event that will contribute to the narrative of the marshes and the Wadden Sea area. With Masks i Marsken we embrace an ancient craft with trends in needlework and lifestyle.

The festival will offer debates, lectures and workshops for both tanned knitters and novices. In addition, music, good food, inspiration and the opportunity to share the love and enthusiasm for crafts with others. Knit also brought the six women behind Masks in the Marsh together. Together they came up with the idea for a knitting festival, which will bring both experienced and new knitters together in new communities - combined with unique experiences in the marshes.

The Story Behind Masks in the Marsh

Kirsten and Marianne are friends and run businesses together — and Pia and Ellen are friends. Separately, the two pairs of friends went to Crete with the travel concept “Time to Calm” to get a little down in gear and have the opportunity to think new thoughts. Neither of us had thought we would have to think new with anyone other than the person we were travelling with, but Crete wanted us to do it differently.

We found that even though we didn't know each other beforehand, fate wanted our paths -- via acquaintances -- to have crossed each other anyway. It gave the ball up for new conversations, and when we found out that we had knitting and creativity in common, well, then suddenly it wasn't far from idea to action.

Since then, Mette and Tatjana have joined our initiative group — it's so good.
