Craft psychology is an evolving field and new discoveries and expansions are constantly being made.
In this year's lecture, the focus is on how craft can take us home in ourselves and provide relaxation and tranquility.
It is difficult to force relaxation and tranquility into the body if there is too much on the inner plate.
Why and not least how can knitting and other craft activities bring calm and relaxation to the body?
Anne Kirketip has been at Masks i Marsken since we started. She has told about why what we all love “knitting and needlework” is healthy for our health and well-being. Of course, there is a revisit of the entire field of “Craft Psychology” for those who have not participated before.
Hear about:
· What is Craft psychology - and the new extensions of the theory.
Why is it healthy to craft? What happens neurologically, physically and psychologically?
· What can be done concretely to reduce body restlessness through craft?
· What are the limits of “too easy” and “too difficult” craft? Why is it important to know the boundaries?
And there will be an opportunity to ask questions so that you can get answers to exactly what you need answers to.
About the Educator:
Anne loves to design and let textiles grow. And build new houses and pretty much any other craft.
Over the past 34 years, Anne has worked in craft/needlework, psychology and enterprise. It is my great passion to raise the respect for what “Craft” (craft and needlework) can do to increase our well-being and enjoyment of life. Likewise, it is her passion to ensure enterprising people in all areas of our society.
Program:
10.00 - 12.00: Lecture with Anne Kirketip
